Planning Commission
The Lincoln Planning Commission has broad authority to plan for the future needs of the community, including but not limited to working with the Addison County Regional Planning Commission to draft and update the Town Plan and the Zoning and Subdivision Regulations.
As a part of these processes, they seek public input, weigh options, and make policy decisions, some of which will help chart the future of the community and which when codified into Zoning Regulations will have the force and effect of law. The Planning Commission represents and considers the interests of all members of the community, including residents and public officials, using the guidance of the Zoning Regulations and Subdivision Regulations, the Town Plan, and State statutes.
More information about the duties of the Planning Commission can be found at 24 V.S.A. ยง 4325. Powers and duties of planning commissions.
