ARPA

Lincoln received a total of $371,054.66 in funds from the U.S. Treasury through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The Lincoln Selectboard collected community input on how to employ these funds in the community, created an ARPA Advisory Committee to accept and discuss all proposals, and made its final decisions on how to obligate funding ahead of the 2024 Town Meeting.

By law, ARPA funds must be obligated by December 31, 2024, which we have done. Funds must be expended by December 31, 2026, which we are well on track to do.

What is the intent of ARPA funding?

Provides governments with the resources needed to:
  • Support community members, local organizations, and businesses who have experienced challenges in public health and economic impacts.
  • Maintain vital public services, even amid declines in revenue resulting from the recent crisis.
  • Build a strong, resilient, and equitable recovery by making investments that support long-term growth and opportunity.
