Community

Lincoln has a strong sense of community.  Beginning with its parent-run preschool and the Lincoln Community School (grades k-6), students and families alike are highly connected to the learning experience. These habits carry into high school where Lincoln families remain an active part of the school environment.

As a mountain town, we often need to rely on our neighbors while facing the challenges of living in a rural environment.  Helping each other out is part of our culture, and we take pride in coming together when a need arises.  Lincoln is proud of its many volunteers, and volunteer-run organizations. If you want to get involved, ask your friendly town clerk or town administrator about finding an opportunity that suits you.

Our local government has adopted a declaration of inclusion.  We want people to feel safe and welcome here.  Love and kindness abound in our community, and these qualities become contagious when we support each other.  If you are a neighbor in need, don't hesitate to reach out for assistance.  The United Way of Vermont has a very helpful hotline available 24 hours, 7days a week.  Dial 2-1-1 if you need help (or can give help).  These folks can assist with making connections to crucial services.
