Green Up Day is May 4

Join with friends and neighbors on Green Up Day, to help tidy up our roadsides. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, Lincoln’s Green Up Headquarters is open at the Lincoln Fire Station from 8 a.m. to noon. Pick up some bags, sign up for a segment of road, and spend an hour or so making a difference in our community. There will be a picnic and raffle in the afternoon for all volunteers. Don’t miss this highly social spring ritual!

Special Selectboard Meeting and Safety Forum

All Lincoln residents are invited to discuss law enforcement, speeding, and bike/pedestrian safety. Tuesday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office.

Roads are posted for weight limits

It’s mud season! Our roads have been posted to restrict heavy weight vehicles from traveling on them. If there is a critical need, please contact our Road Foreman, Dave Cavoretto, at (802)453-3703.

Dog licenses are now past due!

Ballot Petitions Deadline Jan. 28

The deadline to submit nominating petitions to run for office in our Annual Town Meeting Local Election (March 5, 2019) is Monday, Jan. 28 at 5:00 p.m.  Blank petitions are available on this website under “voting”.  Only 11 signatures are required, and the petition must be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office.

Lincoln Gap Road is CLOSED for the Winter!

The Lincoln Gap Road is officially closed for the winter.  Remove all vehicles from the parking areas by October 30, or risk being blocked in or towed.  Road barricades will be installed on Nov. 1, 2018.

Property Taxes Due Oct. 10, 2018

The first installment of our 2018-19 property tax bill is due on Oct. 10.  The office hours that day will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  We have a drop box which is available 24 hours a day outside the office door.  Do NOT leave cash in the drop box!  Payments postmarked by Oct. 10 are considered timely, but only if we can read the postmark.  We can not accept credit card payments.  Check or money order is preferred.  Late payments will be charged 0.5% interest monthly.  Thank you!

Vote tabulator testing Oct. 4

We will be testing the vote tabulator memory cards on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 2:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Town Office.  This is a routine procedure before all elections, and anyone is invited to observe the process.  This is to prepare for the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election.
