Town Office Bond Vote Passed

Thank you to the Town Office Committee members both present and past for all the hard work done to create a proposal which was approved by the voters on March 3, 2015.  The vote was:  223 Yes and 161 No.  The committee plans to meet soon to work on the next steps for moving forward on this exciting project.

Town Meeting Highlights 2015

Early Voting Has Begun!

Early voting has begun for the March 3, 2015 election.  You can request an absentee ballot from the Town Clerk now, or come to the office during regular hours and vote early. Ballot request forms are available outside the office door, or you can e-mail a request to: clerk@lincolnvermont.org.

Town Office Bond Informational Meetings

Lincoln Voters: Prepare for Town Office Bond Vote, March 3, 2015

There will be three informational meetings plus a public hearing to learn more about this proposal:

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Office

Thursday, Feb. 19, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Office (This meeting will also include information on proposed FY 2016 Town and Highway budgets.)

Tuesday, Feb. 24, 7:00 p.m at the Town Office

Monday, March 2, 6:00 p.m at Burnham Hall (public hearing)

Town Office Committee Informational Meeting

A public informational meeting on the progress and recommendations of the Town Office Committee will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Town Office.

All are invited to come hear about ideas for expanding and improving the Lincoln Town Office.  If accessibility accommodations are needed, please call the Town Office at 453-2980 in advance, so we can assist you.

Petitions for Town Meeting Agenda and Ballots Due Soon

Now is the time to prepare for Town Meeting 2015!

To request placing an item on the agenda for Town Meeting, voters must submit a petition, signed by 5% of Lincoln registered voters (51 signatures needed), by January 20, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.  Click here to download a blank petition.

Nominating petitions, to run for a town official position and get your name on the ballot, are due by Monday, Jan. 26, at 5:00 p.m.  Signatures from 1% of registered voters (11 signatures) are required.  Click here to download a ballot petition.  Candidates will also need to submit a consent form.  Click here  All petitions and consent must be submitted to the Lincoln Town Clerk by the required deadlines.  Hard copies of petitions are available at the Lincoln Town Office, outside the door.
