Town Offices closed July 4

The Lincoln Town Offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4.  Town Clerk hours will be open 8-2 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of the holiday week.

Lincoln Gap Road Closed June 26-29

The Lincoln Gap Road to Warren will be closed from June 26-29 for replacement of culverts.  Work will be done on both sides of the mountain.  Please respect any barriers and do not follow construction vehicles into the work zone.  Signs will be removed when the work is done and the road is re-opened.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Transfer Station Permits and Food Drive

It’s time to purchase new Transfer Station Stickers; they expire on June 15.  The cost is $15 for one and $4 for each additional or replacement sticker.  These are available at the Town Office or the Lincoln General Store.  Municipal officials are holding a food drive for the Have A Heart Food Shelf, and we would be grateful for any donations you can drop in the bins at the town office when you come. We’ll extend the deadline to continue until our bins are filled.

Lister Grievances

The abstract of the 2018 Grand List is available for review at the Lincoln Town Office.  Lister Grievance Hearings will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Town Office.  All grievances must be received in writing by June 25th.  Call (802)453-2980 to make an appointment or ask questions.

Lincoln Gap Road is open

The Lincoln Gap Road is officially open for the summer season.  It’s not unheard of to have heavy frosts or even snow in June, so use common sense and proceed with caution on cold mornings!  The road crew has also taken down the posted signs on dirt roads now.  It seems that spring is finally here!

Dog License due date extended to April 2

Dog licenses are due every year by April 1st, which is a Sunday, so we are extending the deadline to April 2.  After that date, there is an added late fee for licensing your dog.  You will need to submit a rabies certificate showing a current vaccination, and the fees are $15 for spayed or neutered dogs and $19 for intact dogs.

Town Office Hours Town Meeting Week

The Town Clerks will be focused on the election all day on Tuesday, March 6, so the office will not be open for other business.  If you want to pay your tax bill, please use the secure drop box outside the office door for payments by check.  NO cash payments will be processed by the clerk on March 6.  Thank you for your understanding.

Town Meeting and Voting

Town Meeting is Monday, March 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Burnham Hall.  Remember to bring your Town Report with you.  Australian ballot voting is Tuesday, March 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the TOWN OFFICE.

Town Report Correction

There are TWO candidates for the Mt. Abraham Unified School District, Lincoln Director race on the ballot for March 6, 2018:  Annie Svitavsky and Sarah McClain are both running for this position.  Voters are reminded that you may only vote for ONE of these candidates.  We apologize for the omission of Annie’s name in the Town Report.

Roads are posted

The Selectboard has officially posted our dirt roads for weigh limits due to extreme temperature changes.  Please contact Road Foreman, Dave Cavoretto, at (802)453-3703 to obtain permission for overweight vehicle travel if necessary.
