Lincoln All Hazards Mitigation Plan, draft, for comments
By Ann Kensek | December 5, 2019 | Community
Every five years the Town works with the Addison County Regional Planning Commission to create an All Hazards Mitigation Plan. This plan looks at the potential and likelihood of various emergencies in town, such as flooding, high winds and power outages, and how we can best minimize, or mitigate, the impact of those emergencies by taking steps in advance. In addition to helping the Town prepare for potential emergencies, having this plan in place enables us to receive up to an additional 10% in funding from Vermont Emergency Management in case of a FEMA level event, and also lowers our match for Class 2 grants from 30% to 20%- a significant savings.
This Plan is nearly done (it is clear where there are numbers, dates, etc. to be updated), and as a part of the approval process, is open to the public for comments. Please read and review the document, and if you have any comments or concerns, email Ann at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please click on the download button below. Thank you!
