Ballot Petitions Due Monday, Jan. 26

The deadline for getting your name on the ballot for the March 3, Town Meeting Day Election is coming up quickly. The deadline to submit ballot petitions to the Town Clerk is Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. We still need people to run for Auditor (3 years) and Selectboard (1 year).  If you have been thinking about getting involved, now is the time! These are important jobs to fill, so encourage your friends to run for office if you think they would do a good job.  There are lots of other offices with terms expiring in March as well. Petitions are available on this website under “Elections” or outside the town office door in hard copy.  Candidates must also submit a consent form, to allow the clerk to place your name on the ballot.  Questions?  Call Sally Ober at 453-2980 or the VT Secretary of State’s Office at 1-800-439-8683.
